MARKENSON Senior Director Robert Marston Marketing Communications | Lara Markenson joined Marston in 2000, after serving as communications director for the oldest branch of the YMCA in New York City, and prior to that, as district representative for U.S. Congresswoman Nita M. Lowey, 18th District, NY. Since joining the firm, Lara has been an integral part of the management team for the LifeScan account (a Johnson & Johnson company), as well as the Odor-Eaters account. Most recently, she has been brought in to help manage a PR program for the 100th anniversary of The Juilliard School. She also has been contributing her expertise to the 100th Anniversary of the National Audubon Society and to Project HOPE, a medical relief organization that provides humanitarian assistance in areas of need (such as in the tsunami-stricken regions of Indonesia), as well as sustainable advances in health care around the world. Lara received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and her Master of Public Administration from New York University. |
